What is TPS? Ever wonder? Why is it here? What’s its goals are? … Its purpose?
The Pirate Society is a community devoted primarily to filesharing topics, mainly bittorrent, with sections devoted to tracker invites. However, you can find just about any and every topic discussed by our members. From humor to serious debates, from gaming to talk about the latest movie, TPS is a large thriving online community with tremendous diversity which is shared by all its members.
Concerning its filesharing aspect, TPS works hard to respect the rules and wishes of the various trackers and their staff. TPS works hard at identifying the bad users, as we feel these persons damage bittorrent and filesharing as a whole.
From the very beginning it was meant to be a community, and its intent was to be a hub for all filesharing enthusiasts to join and gather around with the same hobby in mind. Bittorrent veterans, and especially newbies (those who know little to nothing about filesharing), all were, and still are, encouraged to join. There’s no discrimination, unless you are a trader, scammer, cheater, etc. Along those lines, TPS staff work hard at providing their members a safe environment. Security is something TPS is very conscious of and takes seriously, always seeking continued improvement in this area.
From the start, N3v3R, the site owner, wanted to make a forum to address some of the prevalent issues he saw in various other forums:
“Seeing new members getting ridiculed for asking noob questions just didn’t sit well with me. I felt since I was seasoned and had similar friends that had pretty much what we wanted we could help others learn the ins and outs of the bt politics without the elitest bs … The goal from day one was to gather a mature, helpful, and fair staff for the members and also the trackers. Most similar forums were at the time were not taking into account the trackers wishes so this void was easily spotted. We adopted the tracker first mentality and soon dropped the tracker levels. After a while most trackers saw us not as a hindrance but a helpful community that could improve members knowledge of bt in turn helping their member base” – N3v3R, Site Owner
The persistence has paid off. Despite the initial negative stigmas and prejudices associated with early “invite forums”, the site has progressed extremely well as evidenced with over 150 tracker staff that are represented here, and the numerous recruitment threads they offer for membership. Over time it has evolved into a true hub and thriving community for filesharers of all types to gather.

From day one when I walked on board this ship it was plain to see that TPS has a moral standard as a “invite forum”. I don’t even like to refer to TPS as such, as they are so much more than that. Now don’t laugh as my use of moral here, as what I say does hold water for what we do here. TPS has a high standards, expectations for it’s members along with respect for the Tracker Community and it’s staff. TPS is a great place for people new to torrenting. I’ve seen many posts where people have stated the bulk of knowledge they have gained since joining. It’s also a great place for the “wise” all knowing when it comes to torrenting, as there has been so many people that they have helped.
Want a great place to hang, chat, roll forum threads? Then you don’t want to miss out on being a part of this community! It is absolutely one hell of a thriving, vibrant, hopping communities with forum threads on any and all topics you can think of (if it’s not there..start it…else someone else is bound to), and I am proud to say ‘Hello, I”m kbaby, and I’m a member of TPS!!”

Being new and inexperienced in torrenting, I consider myself very lucky finding the TPS community. I could tell from my first introductory post that this wasn’t like other online forums. Right off the bat the members let you know they were happy to have you there and wouldn’t hesitate to help you if needed. No matter how much experience you had, you were treated nice. That’s a big deal to me. I truly felt welcomed.
TPS is like online crack! Try it one time and you’re hooked! There’s so much activity and so much to keep you interested that you can’t just sit back and watch. The members are funny and friendly and knowledgeable and silly and caring and smartassed and crazy and that’s what I really enjoy about TPS.

Seriously this site is amazing, everyone that becomes a member is warmly welcomed and begins to love the site the more time they spend here. If you use bittorrent then this site is a must, no matter how much of a noob or vet you are there is something for you. I don’t know how I found this site, but I do know that it is the best thing since sliced bread and if your reading this then lucky you, you have found the best bittorrent community out there. TPS is where i started learning about Private Trackers and Bittorenting , and hell if it isn’t the best place for that. This is the place to get things right , if i had started from any other forum , i would have got many things wrong . You get the most Active and veteran Torrent Users helping you here. I owe everything I have now regarding Bittorrent to TPS.
